The Franke Center’s popular Pub Night returns in 2019 with one of Michigan’s best Irish bands, Blackthorn. Featuring traditional songs of emigration, sea shanties, lively jigs and reels, and ancient airs combined with some of Ireland’s best contemporary songs, Blackthorn creates a musical experience that captures the history and legend of Ireland and its people.

JSO’s Music on Tap series brings Heron Valley to the Wax Stage for a night of traditional Celtic music to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Heron Valley are an energetic, young folk band from Scotland who have serious enthusiasm for the music they play.
